Pagagora was created to simplify the process of managing shared expenses among friends and groups. The app focuses on reducing friction and errors when splitting bills by automating item recognition, providing clear visual feedback, and offering flexible payment options. The goal was to deliver a seamless, intuitive experience that allows users to quickly divide costs, assign items, and settle payments - all within a few taps while keeping the process transparent, fair, and stress-free.
The Challenge
Splitting bills among friends can be confusing and time-consuming, often leading to mistakes or arguments. The challenge was to design a mobile solution that simplifies the process while keeping it intuitive, transparent, and visually clear without overwhelming the user.
The Solution
After defining the user flow and creating wireframes, I designed the final screens in Figma with a focus on simplicity, clarity, and efficiency. The design approach included: Streamlined Experience: Users can take a photo of a receipt, and the app automatically detects items using AI (OCR), organizing them for quick and easy assignment. Intuitive Interaction: A clean, consistent flow allows users to select friends, assign items with a single tap, and instantly view totals. Smart Visual Feedback: Color-coded selections, real-time total updates, and clear confirmation prompts minimize confusion and ensure transparency. Modern Visual System: A minimalist design with rounded shapes, friendly typography, and a fresh color palette creates an accessible and enjoyable experience. Flexible Payment Options: Results can be shared via WhatsApp and chosen to be paid through MB WAY or PayPal, making transactions fast, convenient, and practical.
